About the Event

The BioProcessingDays 2027 are dedicated to the topic "Autonomous Fermentation" and bring together experts, innovators and decision-makers from science and industry to shape the future of bioprocess engineering.

In contrast to previous editions, the 2027 event follows a distinctly content-driven character: rather than a hands-on practical workshop, the focus lies on lectures, workshops and networking at a scientific and industrial level.

Over three days, current developments, challenges and future perspectives of autonomous fermentation systems will be presented and discussed. Topics range from sensor and automation technology, data-driven process control and AI-supported bioprocess development to questions of standardization, validation and technology transfer.

The event provides a unique platform for exchange between the process industry, research and development, and academia. Participants gain well-founded insights into the state of the art and the strategic direction of bioprocess automation.

In the modern fermentation environment of the FERM-FACTORY at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, the BioProcessingDays 2027 combine scientific depth with direct exchange between researchers, engineers and industry partners – creating space for new project ideas and sustainable collaboration.
